Woke up with lethargy/ headaches – felt bizarrely emotional (not like me!) missing my little family. Clearly the thin air is getting to me.We back carried down to the cache to retrieve gear, with good weather giving us great views. Losing appetite - had bagels which I couldn’t stomach. Keen to press on a few of us were keen on the idea of doing an extra load carry up Denali pass, a steep traverse which has seen many a tired summiter fall. In the end we all ‘volunteered’ for the extra load carry except Rodney so Dave led us up the Pass whilst Rodney and Chris sorted out dinner. Temperatures are plummeting once the sun goes down, probably -20 – 25C. Cold.
